How we research our guides

Our creator guides answer questions about TikTok and Instagram rules, money and growth. Platform rules change often, so every guide goes through the same three steps before it is published.

The process

  1. Research

We use official platform pages wherever they exist: TikTok and Instagram help centres, their newsrooms and creator programme pages. Where a platform publishes nothing, for example gift prices or engagement benchmarks, we use named independent sources and label the figures as estimates. Every fact in the draft is tied to the page it came from.

  2. Claim-by-claim fact-check

The draft is then checked claim by claim against the source each fact came from, using the official page wherever there is one. Anything we cannot confirm is corrected or removed. Numbers that platforms do not publish are labelled as estimates with their sources listed, or left out.

  3. Final review by the Folzora team

A last review checks that every link works, that guides do not repeat or contradict each other, and that figures such as follower minimums match across the site.

Who writes them

The guides are written and checked with the help of AI tools, and reviewed by the Folzora team before they go live. We say this plainly because it is how they are made. The fact-check step exists so that nothing rests on an AI's say-so: each claim has to match its source (an official one wherever the platform publishes one), or it does not stay in.

What “Fact-checked” means

When a guide is marked “Fact-checked”, it means the guide went through the steps above. The pages we relied on are listed under each guide in its Sources section, so you can check them yourself. The “Updated” date shows when the guide was last reviewed.

Folzora sells growth packages, and some guides link to them. That does not change what the guides say about platform rules: where TikTok, Instagram or another platform prohibits buying engagement, the guide says so.
